Hahaha, this is great! I should buy one for every one of my woman friends!
I’ve gotten that all my life and not just from men. Apparently I smile enough that anytime I’m not people tell me to smile. And sadly it’s such a habit, that when someone who doesn’t know me says, “Hey, smile!” I still do. I’m so programmed…
It’s not just you. Smiling all the time, or on command, is part of the female duty to be ornamental and pleasant looking.
oh my goodness this rang so true for me. sometimes it’s a struggle to smile, you know, we all have those days. on those days people tell me i am being “stand-offish” or “bitchy” – “why don’t you smile more? it would make you look more approachable.” What they’re really saying is “woman are supposed to always look sweet and happy, what the f is wrong with you?” I definitely need this smile on a stick. I would use it ALL the time… i’d probably be even less approachable then though, people might think i’ve lost it
